In the fall of 2019 Copenhagen´s new and highly anticipated City Circle M3 line opened for public. The 15,5 km long route brings people through 5 different neighbourhoods of town and offers a variety of awesome styles and colours on it´s stations. On this guided tour we take you on a 2,5 hours ride in the M3 metro line including stops and introductions to cool Vesterbro, old downtown, green Østerbro, dark and diverse Nørrebro and fashionable Frederiksberg.
We start up in the city center for some introductions to the foundation of Copenhagen and continue towards the station nearby our Danish Royal Family´s residence, Amalienborg. From there we move on to the local and family friendly district of Østerbro. Nørrebro will be the next stop. Here we will take a short walk in the Assistens Cemetery, where lots of influential and creative Danes, as Hans Christian Andersen, are buried.
The two last stops are Frederiksberg and Enghave Square. On Frederiksberg we land on the beauty queen of boulevards in town, which in former times only served the king. Today it´s still a fashionable avenue, where the locals hang out for coffee or walk their dogs and baby strollers. From there we terminate at Enghave Square in Vesterbro, the old red light district, today gentrified and trendy. Here we recommend you to explore on your own, after providing you with insights on cool places, hidden gems and hot spots.
The tour includes A City Pass for 24 hours, which will give you the opportunity to get off at all the 17 stations after the tour – if you like…Besides giving access to the Copenhagen tube (the metro),you can also enjoy a ride on the public harbour bus, S-trains and all public bus lines.
We recommend you to hop on the M4 metro line to explore the newly opened stations in South Harbour, which are all richly decorated by local artists.
