Copenhagen is the gastro capital of Scandinavia, filled to the brim with tasty and mouthwatering options. These days there are 14 restaurants in town with one or more Michelin stars.
But it is not all about expensive Michelin restaurants – Follow Cph:cool on a culinary road trip through the center of Copenhagen. On the way we will tell you about Danish food traditions and beer culture, eating habits and gastro trends in Copenhagen – and most importantly invite you to taste a range of local products from beer to chocolate, from old school to innovative. Yummy …
We offer different routes and food visits in the city center as well as on Vesterbro – one example could be:
We will start our guided food tour in the middle of the historic city center at Højbro Plads, where hard working farmers and fishermen have been selling their products for centuries. Our first stop is for a taste of different Danish beer, all from local micro breweries, served at the canal and topped with an introduction to the Danish drinking culture. Later we will visit the chocolate parlour Summerbird, the producer of the finest white-chocolate-liqurice “flødeboller” you can imagine. After a stop at a local candy factory (still using 100 year old recipes) we will drop by for an organic hotdog at our favourite hotdog stand in Copenhagen – and end the tour at the humming food market Torvehallerne, a must-stop for all foodies. Here we will have a look at the variety of local delicacies like smoked cheese, smørrebrød (our famous open faced sandwiches) or fish cakes, while treating you with a selected seasonal bite…
You will taste samples, small bites and appetizers – so please do not expect a meal.
The tour takes 2 hours.
The price is 3600 DKK for groups between 1-7 persons. For more people the price is 490 DKK per guest.
